We are pleased to announce our 2011 Endangered Species is the Black-Footed Cat!
It is one of the smallest wild feline species and is endangered. It lives primarily in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, and Southern Angola. It is called the Black-Footed Cat because the soles of its feet being black.
Join us for the 2011 “Run for the Black-Footed Cat”, Saturday, September 17th at the Kansas City Zoo.
Our goal is to help build awareness and funds to help this endangered species.
Our 4 Mile Run/Walk is chip timed and starts in Swope Park and runs through the entire Zoo, starting at 8:30 am with an Elite Runner wave. 8:40 am for the main start.
The 1 Mile Family Fun Run starts inside the Zoo at 9:30 am.
